The Story

The album titled Shovels & Rope was originally released in 2008 as a collaboration by two then-solo artists, Cary Ann Hearst and Michael Trent. After a few years of touring together as “Cary Ann Hearst & Michael Trent,” the two decided to adopt the name of their album Shovels & Rope as the official band name.

Offered on vinyl for the first time, this release is being put out on 180 gram premium wax and features live staples (and fan favorites) “Boxcar,” “Gasoline” and “Hollowpoint Blues” plus a brand new exclusive recording of "Mother's Scorn"
